DIY: Distressed Denim Shorts
I recently turned a pair of old pants into hot shorts! The key is picking the right size pants. You want the pants to naturally fit slightly bigger in the hips. The reason is because you don't want the shorts to tight in the thighs. You can cut to what ever length you want but I count three inches from the crotch and if you want cuffs add two more inches. Mark the jeans with water soluble chalk and try on the jeans for an idea because once you cut there is no turning back. Next cut the jeans in places you want a shredded look, spray or drop a little bleach, and sand in places you want a faded look. Last thing I recommend is to wash the denim once or twice so it finishes off the distressed look and you are ready to go.

Fresh Off the Press
Recently I tried the newspaper manicure and died. It was extremely easy and extra fun. To create the look you simply need a pale pink, grey or nude polish, newspaper and alcohol. Paint the nail and let the color dry completely. Next tear or cut newspaper (not to big and not to small) to fit the nail. Lastly soak the newspaper with alcohol and apply to the nail. You want to press down and count roughly to around 30 seconds before removing the paper. For a more finished look apply a top coat and Wah-Laa your done.

Cloudy with a chance of NEON
I predicted it would only be a matter of time before the forecast would be filled with hot neons. We have had our time with fun brights, soft pastels and earthy neutrals. There was only a matter of minutes before neons jumped in the timeline and this trend is right on target for spring 2012. Don't be afraid to stand out in the colors. My style is definitely going to edging the look out with black. You can also try mixing the colors with each other like greens on yellows or oranges on reds and so forth. Remember to have fun and live it up!

My favorite blogger just so happens to be Nicole Warne of www.GaryPepperVintage.com. I'm so in love with her style that it's CRAY. When I close my eyes all I envision is bight colors, knits, chiffons, accessories and everything wonderful. Here are a few recent stills from her blog! GREATNESS.

BEYOND NEON
Neon is taking over this season because it's the unexpected. Bright colors in the winter aren't always the go-to making neons the underdog. I say have fun with this trend. Pair the colors with black, leather, metals or with nude colors. Either way your going to look bomb.
Color Blocking
Color blocking is here to stay! This trend isn't going anywhere and I'm relieved because I LOVE it! I mean where do I start. First of all it's so much fun mixing & matching colors. Second it's a great way to spice up your wardrobe. Lastly color blocking allows you go in your closet & recycle already owned pieces. But the best part is that when this trend is worn in the style of a dress it's a one stop shop. Easy! Right?
The Little Mesh Dress
Mesh can be so sexy if done right! It's the peek-a-boo to cut outs. This trend is going to be taking over and when it does it's going to be HOT! In order to be fashion forward in this look I suggest being minimalist. Remember to keep it simple and chic so that you don't come off as offensive.
The Cold Shoulder
I've notices that dresses with unique shoulder designs are in this season. Since when did turning the cold shoulder become so hot. This particular style adds a touch of sexiness yet edginess to your look. The only advice I would recommend when wearing this trend is making sure either the style or color of the dress is subtle. Too much can become overkill and that readers is a no, no.
