How the Shoe Fits

While at work I decided to take a peek at a neighbors Allure magazine and the article 'How to Make Your High Heels Comfortable' caught my attention. The tips did make sense but they didn’t really seem practical not made we want to rush home and try them. We all know how to stretch a shoe so telling us something we don’t know.

Like - -

Scratching the bottom of the shoe for extra grip. It makes walking on a smooth surface a piece of cake. Who wouldn’t want to walk fearlessly without worrying about slipping, sliding or even worse falling?

Or - -

Removing the original sole and replacing it with a store bought sole. Not only dose it create comfort but removing the original bulky sole and replacing it with a smaller one allows for extra room.

And - -

Confidence! Yes, that’s right confidence. Not every heel is the same so you can’t expect comfort to be at 100% just because another similar style is. Every shoe should go through try outs in order to make the team. Purchasing a shoe and walking around the house doing everyday things for at least a half hour minimum is best. Nine times out of ten if it’s uncomfortable to wear in your own home then the shoe should be cut. Covering the bottom of the shoe in duct tape prevents them from becoming dirty just in case a return is needed. If the shoe fits then wear it and being confident will make for great strides.

One of the tips that I did really like from the article is trying the shoe on at night (if possible)! Why? Because your feet tend to swell as the day goes by. Preparing for an evening or night occasion with a particular shoe give you a look into the future on how comfortable you .
