For starters when picking a polish it ok to be trendy but remember not every color works depending on you skin tone. So while making the transitions remember that neutral colors are always a plus along with hues of pink.

Pink works for everyone and while others think pink is expected I think pink is genius. The color comes in so manly shades so don't feel as if you have to stick to its traditional color. You can find these colors at almost any drug store for only $1.99

Don't be afraid to layer. Often times when I'm on a random trip anywhere I look for cheapies. I found this color on sale for 70 cents at Wal-Greens and it has become one of my favorite polishes. I use it over a dull burgundy for a pop and it's also a great quick fix.

Nail sticks are easy and fun. I found these in a pack of 5 at TJ Maxx for $5.99; STEAL! They are also great for emergencies.

This is an example of knowing your skin tone. I'm a carmel complexion with a red tint so these green hues work for me. If you don't know you tint try pressing your skin down for a few seconds and see what color pops up, is it red? yellow? etc. I can always count on these colors and they can be worn from winter to spring! I copped these colors in order from Wal-Mart, Cosmo-Prof, and Barnums Beauty Supply from $1.99-$8.99.
Also remember if you want a professional look without going to the shop try these simple tips:
- Invest in a base coat (layer tapplied before the polish)
- A good polish only has to be applied 2-3 times
- Invest in a good top coat (layer applied after the polish) I recommend Barielle: No Chip Speed Dry
- Be Patient
